Just a few more days to submit poems to the 8th Annual Dover Public Library Poetry Contest. The contest is for kids in grades k-12 and we will be accepting submissions through the end of the day on Monday, April 12. Follow this link to download a contest rules sheet and form.

Owls’ Flight
Eyes as bright as golden lamps
shifting through the sky.
Silent wings as dark as night,
carry them up high.
Racing with the crisp, cool wind
all through the darkening night.
You see the soaring shadows
during the owls’ midnight flight.
