When I woke up this morning and saw that it was snowing yet again, this is what came to mind.
"She isn't a real queen at all," answered Lucy; "she's a horrible witch, the White Witch. Everyone--all the wood people--hate her. She has made an enchantment over the whole country so that it is always winter here and never Christmas."
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.
I just wish Lucy, Peter, Edmund, and Susan could come and put an end to our eternal winter.

Hi. There are several children's librarians, including myself, here at the Main Library in Long Beach which regularly read your blog via posts sent to our email, and we genuinely think that your posting is truly thoughtful and intriguing to read. We always learn something new! Is it one person or several who write your blog?

Thanks Laurie! Several librarians contribute posts; among them the director, children's librarian and reference librarians. We love hearing from our readers.
