Friends of the Library to hold Grab Bag Book Sale on Saturday, October 17

The Friends of the Dover Public Library's annual Book Sale, which usually takes place at the end of October, will not occur this year. However, there will be a one-day sale, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The sale will be on the Dover Public Library's front lawn and will consist of grab bags for $5. Bags will be available in categories such as non-fiction, mysteries, children's titles, and more. Please support the Friends of the Library by stopping by the sale. Friend's membership information will also be available. The Friends generously support the Library by purchasing our museum passes, providing monthly programming, sponsoring our Summer Reading Programs, Peeps Contest, Poetry Contest, and a lot more throughout the year. Access Ancestry from Home!

 

Because of Covid-19, Ancestry is allowing libraries to allow patrons to access the Ancestry Library site from home. This courtesy is extended through December 31, 2020. To use Ancestry Library at home, log into your library account and then click on the Ancestry link.

First go to our online catalog, librarycatalog.dover.nh.gov and log in with your 14 digit library barcode (no spaces) and the last 4 digits of your phone number.
Click on the Ancestry Library logo and you're in!

Help the Library by Buying a Reusable Bag from the Central Avenue Hannaford

You can help The Friends of the Dover Public Library during the month of October by purchasing a $2.50 reusable Community Bag at the Hannaford store located at 833 Central Avenue, Dover NH.

The Friends of the Library will receive a $1 donation from each purchase.
