New Maker Tools Available for Borrowing

Learn something new! Discover a new creative hobby by borrowing some of the Dover Public Library's new Maker Tools. The library's collection of Maker Tools lets you experiment with new crafting techniques such as screen-printing or glass fusing, without having to purchase your own tools. Tools and equipment from the collection are available to borrow for three weeks for anyone with a DPL library card.
The Library also loans tools that you might only need a couple of times in your life and don't want to purchase yourself, like a mat cutter or an electric staple gun. For a complete list of the Maker Tools now available for borrowing, visit http://library.dover.nh.gov/what-we-have/maker-tools.html.
And join us for the Library's Makerspace Kickoff Demonstration on Wednesday, Jan. 15, anytime from 4 to 8 p.m. to "Meet The Maker Tools" and get a chance to try them out. Use an Indian bead loom, wind a skein of yarn into a ball, make a button with your favorite saying, or learn how to hook a rug.
Patrons are also invited to stream crafting classes via our Creativebug database (free access for cardholders at https://www.creativebug.com/lib/dover) to watch guided videos with instructions on how to use maker tools properly.
