On Wednesday,
February 1 at 7pm, the Dover Public Library will present a talk by NH Fish and
Game Conservation Officer James Benvenuti and his new partner, Cora, a
Labrador Retriever puppy. James Benvenuti grew up hunting and fishing in
Newmarket. He studied conservation law enforcement in Maine and has been with
New Hampshire Fish and Game for five years. Cora has been with New Hampshire
Fish and Game since September 2016.
Conservation Officers work with their canine partners to conduct tracks and area
searches, to detect evidence, to identify fish and wildlife patterns, and to
help with search and rescue activities. Join us for an entertaining evening as
Officer Benvenuti explains what NH Fish and Game conservation officers do, and
how Cora is being trained.
This program is free and everyone is welcome. For more information, call the
Dover Public Library at 603-516-6050.
