If
you love books or aspire to be a writer, the Dover Public Library is hosting a
panel of published authors who will kick off NH Writers’ Week, celebrating
local authors. Each panelist will talk about his or her new book and answer
your questions on Monday, December 1 at 6:30pm.
Find out what’s in store for private
investigator Dan Marlowe when Jed Power reads from “Blood on Hampton Beach”. Carefully hidden secrets could turn out
to be deadly in Amy Ray’s debut thriller “Dangerous Denial”. Kirkus Reviews
wrote “Ray takes her time establishing her characters, including the bad guys,
and with a rousing, indelible payoff, it’s well worth it.” Break out of prison
with mob “troubleshooter” Kevin Markinson as J.E. Seymour reads from her latest
Markinson mystery, “Stress Fractures”. Chelsey Philpot will read from her debut
young adult novel, “Even in Paradise”, which
captures the intensity, the thrill, and the heartbreak of too-brief friendships
and loves. Travel to India during monsoon season as Susan Oleksiw reads from
her latest mystery, “For The Love Of Parvati”. Or travel to the “other side” as
Terri Bruce reads from “Thereafter”, the
second in her Afterlife series.
This is a free program in the Library’s
Lecture Hall and open to all. For more information, call the Dover Public
Library at 603-516-6050.
