A Mysterious Gift

This seems to be our week to receive gifts of old and rare Dover historical items. Yesterday, someone put a very carefully packaged laserdisc copy of The McConnell Story starring Alan Ladd and June Allyson in our book drop. The film is a biography of Joseph McConnell, Korean War Flying Ace, who was from Dover. He was credited with shooting down 16 Russian MiG-15s.The McConnell Center is named for him.
