New eBooks Available on the Library Kindles

Did you know the Library has 6 Kindles available for checkout? They go out for 3 weeks, just like a book. It's a great way to try a Kindle out and want to see if you like to read eBooks. Cool Stuff The Catalog Can Do For You!


We’ve just added some great new features to the library’s online catalog that makes finding a book and choosing your next read a lot more fun!

When you search for a book, click on the title to view more. Then, just scroll down to the bottom of the page to Novelist Select to see the new features, including: 

·        A Summary of the book
·        Inside This Book, including author biographies and sample pages.
·        Ratings & Reviews of the book (from Goodreads).
·        Books in This Series - in order! You will never have to guess again whether "Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire" comes before or after "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix".
·        You Might Also Like These… suggestions for similar titles, authors, and even similar series. Just let your cursor hover over the Why?  to find out why this book is being recommended.

New eBooks Available Only to DPL Cardholders

The Library's Overdrive Advantage Downloadable Book collection is growing. We are ordering additional copies of popular titles that will be available only to Dover Public Library cardholders. Just make sure to log in to NH Downloadable Books before you begin searching the site. If you don't log in, you won't be able to find the DPL Overdrive Advantage titles. Any titles that are exclusively owned by the Dover Public Library will have an adjacent symbol that indicates Overdrive Advantage.
